The College of Social Sciences at National Chengchi University offers graduate training leading to a master's degree in Taiwan Studies.
The International Master's P rogram in Taiwan Studies (IMTS) aims to bring a broad interdisciplinary humanistic and economic focus to the study of the complex society in Taiwan.
The IMTS Program is designed to be a two-year English-taught program that provides an intensive exposure to the politics, economy, space and environment, cultural and social formations of Taiwan. Some students who have other commitments choose to complete this program over a longer course of time. Students who plan to enter related professions, mid-career professionals, and those who plan to enter doctoral programs in related fields are encouraged to apply.

The IMTS program has cooperated with professors from the College of Social Sciences (CSS) at National Chengchi University , providing the students an international and interdisciplinary perspective on a broad scope of subjects focusing on Taiwan.
The CSS is comprised of 7 academic departments and 4 graduate institutes, and it is one of the largest colleges on the NCCU campus.
Currently we have faculty from the department of Sociology, English, History, Public Finance, Election Study Center, Political Science, Economics, Land Economics, Graduate Institute of Development Studies, and Institute for Labour Research.

| A minimum of 36 graduate credits are required for the master's degree in Taiwan Studies. The master's thesis is expected to make a substantial contribution to this profession. Each student will be given a final oral examination based on the contents of the thesis.
